The New Thalians
Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to be a New Thalian. My husband Bob Lorsch, has been a supporter for many years, and I was happy to join in on the fun of honoring Hugh H. Hefner as "Mr. Wonderful" benefiting UCLA’s Operation Mend at The Playboy Mansion. When we agreed to chair the event, it was based on a shared commitment with Ruta that our goal is to attract new interest and enthusiasm to ensure that The Thalians tradition of charity will continue for years to come.

With the Thalian’s mission of "Giving Where It Is Needed Most" proceeds are continuing to go toward mental health and wellness programs for America’s wounded military men and women and their families served by Operation Mend. We are so proud to be able to recognize their tremendous work, including the establishment of Save a Life, to prevent suicide and improve overall psychological health.

As a result of the financial success of the last event, Bob and I again chaired the 56th Thalians Gala at House of Blues Sunset Strip, honoring entertainment legend Smokey Robinson. It was a fabulous tribute concert, another big success, and a great time was had by all! I truly believe the Thalians are headed in a positive new direction with their best work yet to come.
